Security

The scanned document stays on the workstation.

The scanner driver, local helper and browser exchange page data on the same Windows machine. ScanBridge does not receive the image, file, page count or document name.

Document data flow.

Your application decides what happens after it receives the Blob. Upload, storage, permissions and retention remain part of your system.

1. ScannerA TWAIN or WIA driver acquires the page.
2. Local helperThe per-user Windows helper answers on 127.0.0.1.
3. BrowserThe page receives images and assembles PDF output locally.
4. Your codeYour saved handler sends or stores the result under your rules.
Origin pairing

The browser pairs with the helper

The user approves the requesting origin and subsequent local calls carry the pairing token.

Domain allow-list

A copied key does not work on another host

The licence contains allowed application origins. The integrator places the key in the application; the end user does not enter it.

Licence check

Only licensing data leaves

The helper refreshes the key, origin, one-way machine identifier and product version with the licence service. No scanned document content is included.
